I fear the problem is the contacts rather than the buttons. plus if you are to take it apart anyway and get some Super Servisol in there (rather than the coca cola or w/e currently occupying that spot) then you would probably find it no longer does that.
clean it before you commit to a new case. But sure. There are a bunch of dead kindle 4's out there and as KNC1 rightly says, users on here can more than likely find you one, at a cost. |

I don't think Physkeyb would be useful for this purpose.
It intercepts Java event handler chain and is tailored to fit the needs of K3 (see here). But what about utilizing Launchpad code ? It is able to detect key press events as well, only it's closer to hardware. |
