90% of Tidewater drivers that happened to be behind that truck would smash into his rear end when those breaks kicked in. It's against the religion of most of the numbskulls in this area to leave more than a car's length between them and the vehicle in front of them at 70 MPH; many leave less.

I agree that this does not help the drivers behind the truck, however you have to agree that it appears to do a wonderful job of helping occupants of both the vehicle in front and the truck.
