Where can I download Kindle Classic for Mac version 1.40.3+ that works? Amazon now just sends you to the App Store, and it seems it's no longer available.

Try googling Kindle for Mac 1.40.1 and you'll get a bunch of software download sites. I have no idea which ones are legit or safe, so choose your download with care. Last edited by odamizu; 04-23-2024 at 01:54 AM. |

I have a question about graphics size.
When you download in KFX using Kindle for PC and the eBook is supposed to have hi-resolution graphics, does the KFX format have the correct size graphics? |

Amazon delivers books with varying graphics quality depending on the platform and app version that downloaded it. The latest version of Kindle for PC will deliver KFX format books with the highest quality graphics that Amazon makes available, on par with the iOS/Mac and Android apps. Next best image quality can be obtained with a KF8 (AZW3) format book along with an HD image container file (AZW6) obtained from the Kindle for PC or Android app. A bit worse is a standalone KF8 file obtained from one of those apps or by using the Download & Transfer function of Amazon's web site. Worst of all is the image quality in books downloaded by Kindle devices. Those are typically black and white with low resolution. |

thank you
Hello.
A useless post maybe, but nevertheless : I would just like to express my deep gratitude to all those who take much of their time and skills in order to build and upgrade tools that work, be it Calibre, DeDRM or KFX Input. Not being much at ease with anything technical, I had all but given up using the Android method where I found a new problem facing me every time I had solved the previous one, but now, despite the "cold feet" I had like others here, I took a deep breath and decided to trust the consensus, so I de-installed my previous Kindle for PC and followed the new procedure, and I can once again do all that I could previously do with the Kindle for PC 1.17/1.19 method (by the way : after 147 pages [!!], maybe it's time to close this thread and link to a new one not mentioning the 1.19 version in its title...). My thanks also go to all the contributors willing to help quickly and efficiently any time a question (no matter how dumb) is asked. So again : a big thank you to all. |

I agree that this thread has run its course and should be made un-sticky at this point. |

I think this is still an important topic. Maybe you can open a new one with the first page informations to stick.

I would suggest a new thread with updated information from the first message in this thread should be created.
