Can you decompile an IMG file?
The Pandigital Novel has a firmware update already. You can get it on their website.

If its an IMG as in a cd image then there are multiple programs that can extract it, like winimage, magiciso, heck you can probably burn it to a cd or mount it on a drive emulator.

edit: never mind the files aren't "regular" img files, but then you probably knew that already

edit 2: i got it decrypted

.img files are the Mac equivalent of .iso files - You can just rename it!

Android is using a different kind of IMG file.
