Sidebar looks interesting...except for this little detail:
Caution: This software requires Windows 2000 or Windows XP and does not work in Windows 95/98/Me/NT. So much for the laptop...but i'll try it at work with the W2K box... |

I'm still a proponent of Amphetadesk, particularly because you can clip with IE and port to your Clie for off-line reading.

I've build a sitescooper.org file for that rss-feed:

Can anyone tell me how to add this feed into Amphetadesk? When I put in the URL it says "AmphetaDesk could not determine the format of https://www.mobileread.com/forums/feed.php."
Thanks. |

Plucker can convert rss feeds?
Hey,
Saw an article on www.palminfocenter.com today about rss feeds and palm pilots. Apparently plucker can convert those feeds. Is there a way for isilo to do the same thing? I'm not familiar with rss but does new york times have one? |

No iSilo doesn't support RSS (yet). Plucker and MobiPocket eNews Creator do, though.
NYT doesn't have official RSS support, but there are sites that offer RSS feeds to NYT. Check here: http://backend.userland.com/director...s/newYorkTimes Greets |

I'm not schooled in RSS yet either, but I'm not sure how well it can work on the Palm beyond some headline summaries. Perhaps I should try that new Hand/RSS and see what it's like. The desktop RSS feeds that I've tried have at best a couple of sentences in summary and then link you to the source web page. Obviously that's not feasible for frequent updates to your palm. But as I say, I'm largely inexperienced in this and am open to being wrong. Anyone tried Hand/RSS yet?
