I truly don't understand the purpose of Rx advertising to the general public. Even with out a bizarre rule like that. |

Grrh. My own stupidity
I've been putting off gettiong blood work done for a few months now, so finally today I decided "Let's Do It". The test was for fasting blood work and urine, and last time I was in I'd brought a urine collection bottle home, so that was not an issue. I *thought* that clear liquids were fine, so had some black coffee (no sugar) before going. Of course, i mentioned that on checking in only to get MAJORLY chastised and shown that it's even explicitly written on the form Oh well; back to the lab tomorrow morning and I'm advised to get there when they open at 7:30 as Saturday is a busy day |

Staying at someone's place and realizing that their "knife-shaped objects" are as sharp as a soup spoon.

Now to wait for the usual lectures from the Doctor. (I'd been bad and for a few months had both stopped blood sugar measurements AND was eating anything and everything; this last week though I decided enough was enough and am now back to both testing, and eatinbg far more sensible). |

Why is ground turkey a thing? Tasteless, nasty stuff.

Depends on how you cook it. For one friend of mine, it lets him enjoy chili, sloppy joes, shepherds pie and other well seasoned ground meat recipes without the nasty side effects he gets from the fat in ground beef or pork.

If Ben Franklin had his way the turkey would be America's national bird.
That goes for me too. |

When my mother made meatloaf, she used 1/2 ground beef and 1/2 ground turkey. It was very nice.

Have you ever had "beetloaf"?
It taste more like meatloaf than the fake beef products. |

Please try to remember that the name of the thread is not The Fully Justified Vent and Rant Thread. Venting & Ranting are rarely rational acts. People (myself included) are often not looking for validation, correction--or even acknowledgement--of their rants. They're venting/ranting and moving on. Think twice before rant-shaming folk just because they may have bashed something you like/need.
That's my rant right there. |

True enough, but sometimes I find the counterpoints therapeutic. They have occasionally helped me calm down about whatever I was ranting or venting about.

That's fair. I just get a sense that people are occasionally being judged, instead of just being allowed to vent. *shrug*
