when I click download to device, it appears to do nothing, and says that it's already on the device. But it's nowhere to be found on the kobo

Does calibre give any messages about a malformed database?

When you initially sent the PDF and disconnected the reader from calibre did any message appear on the Kobo that it was importing new content? (Until that step happens the new material will not appear on the Kobo).

Right now I'm trying to find a good and reliable USB micro USB for the aura one on Amazon.
any suggestions?
