I have reinstalled python and librariansync and now it is working fine with 11 books and 3 collections in the first use.

Thanks for sharing.

I was finally able to install it using KindleTool to create an archive. However, although it shows in KUAL, nothing works. When I want to create collections using folders I have the impression that things run endlessly in a vacuum. I wonder if the fact that my Kindle is blacklisted, and therefore the collection option grayed out, is not for something. I would have liked to redownload librariansync from github, but impossible to find how to do it, it says no release.... does anyone know more?

Yes with the script, my device is called FAKEREG now, but the collection option is still grayed out. Besides, if it had worked, I wouldn't really need librariansync anymore. I would just like to be able to make collections, even if they are the basic kindle ones. Do you know if there is another fake register script that could work?

A) Obvious stuff:

- make sure the Calibre plugin is configured correctly and actually creates some collections - when you upload collections click 'Show details' and ensure the collection list looks good,

- by default Kindle does not display collections, this can be adjusted in the home view but is OS version dependent (on my 5.13.6 its under sort -> collection).

B) If everything else fails:

- Calibre plugin works by populating collections.json that's located in the system folder when you connect your Kindle over USB - make sure there's some content there.

In order for this plugin to work, you need to have your Kindle jailbroken.

Most probably, your Kindle doesn’t have working Python 3.

There was a quirk with python installation. Search around this thread, people suggested workarounds
