Jorge Isaacs (1837-1895). This Colombian writer is the author of the most successful novel ever published in Hispanic America after 'One Hundred Years of Solitude' [by Gabriel García Márquez].

There were four (slightly) different publications of this book, so this English translation here differs a bit from the Spanish version here. There is, as far as I know, no other English translation yet.
