Russell Banks - important literary author dies at age 82

Russell Banks, an admired author of fiction and poetry, has died at age 82.

He was the author of two novels that were finalists for 1986 and 1999 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction: Continental Drift and Cloudsplitter.

Trailerpark, a collection of short stories, is a book I very much admire.

A great American writer...now gone.

Sad to hear of his loss. I should have been reading him years ago, having seen the film adaptations of two of his novels, The Sweet Hereafter and Affliction. Bless the FLP for having many of his books in their ebook library. Amazon has very little on KU or Prime Reading.
