noteworks - Manage your notes on the Sony PRS-T1

noteworks lets you list or search your edocs and handle your annotations, highlightings and freehand drawings.

It's implemented in java and supports currently the Windows OS.

More to come...

Meh.

There is hardly any point using your util as long as it does not get rid of the 200 character limit... Its not meaningful to work with cut-off notes.

Here is the source code to get rid of the 200 char limit:
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=170051

And if you are brainy enough, maybe you can use it to remove the limit on .pdf as well. This only works for .epub

Have fun.

I pressume it will not work (in future versions) for older models (PRSx50)?

32-64 bits problem

Great news for a new notes exporter tool.
However, I've got a problem to start it : It doesn't seem to like my 64 bit JVM to lad the SWT library.
Any way to correct that ?

Fix noteworks for 64bit Windows

Please fetch the 64 bit version from
http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/.../index.php#SWT

It's actually http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/...n32-x86_64.zip

Take the swt.jar from that zip an replace the one in notework's lib-dir with it.

Should do the fix

For future versions i will try to evaluate for which versions it works right now and for which it needs some adjustments.

noteworks in general has the structure to integrate with different kinds of annotation-storages.

Works quite well, but has a few problems.
1st of all are the special characters, which are shown as squares or ?

2nd the list on the left tries and use the covers and link as file: links, which don't work well.

3rd : A better "placement" location would be great, and perhaps a possibility to "widen" the selection by a parameterized number of words.

However, all in all a good tool. Just quite improvable, but good.

Thanks !

Hello, first of all thank you for writing this piece of Software. Exporting the notes is far easier with your work than with the awful Sony reader for PC.

Nevertheless, the 200 characters limit is a painful limitation. I tried to reformat my notes on a first book to take the limitation into account and it's possible, but it takes a lot of time for the existing books and will be quite slow for future books too.

Is there any chance you would change your code in the near future to bypass that limitation (also found in the Reader for PC software) ?
Thank you for your answer.
Best regards,
Gregui
