I'm also having problems with RoyalRoad, trying to add a new novel gives me this message:

You can effectively remove HTML links by using a keep_html_attrs setting that doesn't have href in it. It's set in defaults.ini under [defaults], so you could override it under [defaults] or specific site section(s) in personal.ini:

[defaults]
keep_html_attrs:name,class,id,colspan,rowspan,data-orighref

Then new downloads/updates will not have the href attributes on <a> tags that make them links. The <a> tags will still be there, but without href attrs they are basically invisible.

For the last two or three days the plugin has not wanted to work for me. It doesn't appear to be grabbing any story updates and when I added a new story url it gave me this:

The last day it worked was the 22nd. Didn't an update for fanficfare drop around that time?

Thanks! Should have read above me before posting! I went into plugins and selected "install plugin from file" and pointed it to the zip. Didn't seem to fix the problem. Am I missing something?

*update* Needed to restart calibre,

I don't recall seeing a prompt to restart or I would have....I tried it as a last ditch effort to see if it fixed things.

Plugins require a Calibre restart to work properly in most cases and depending on how you install them, Calibre usually reminds you.

Is it possible to enter URLs into the FFF personal.ini which have special characters in them?

I have a story which has "pokémon" in the URL which turns into "pok%C3%A9mon" in Calibre. Pasting the identifier URL into the personal.ini to apply story specific settings results in an InterpolationSyntaxError where it expects the '%' character to be followed by either '%' or '('.
