Unhappy Unable to Access Editor (Edit Book)

Hello,

I am using Calibre to set up some ebooks for classic literature in the public domain. I was adding some images to an ebook I created the other day before saving and closing the application. When I tried to resume my work an hour later, I was unable to access the editor for any of my ebooks.

Clicking the "edit book" button has an icon pop up on my task bar, but no window pops up. When I attempt to pull up the window from the task bar nothing happens. The preview of the window (when I hover my curser over the icon) shows a slim, white rectangle with the name of the ebook and nothing else. This is affecting all of my existing EPUB files and any new EPUB or AZW3 files that I've tried to create.

I've tried restarting Calibre, reinstalling Calibre, restarting my computer, and using AZW3 instead of EPUB (which is what all of my current ebooks are). Nothing has been working so far. At this point, I can't even start my work over (which would be heartbreaking enough) because creating a blank ebook runs into the same issue.

I've done my best to find guides for this online, but wasn't able to pull up anything that was relevant or worked. I do have the debug report added below, though I'm unsure how to read it or if it will be helpful.

Any advice on how to resolve this so I can get back to making my ebooks would be appreciated.

This is caused by incompatibilities between Qt WebEngine (used by the viewer and editor) and the graphics drivers
on your system. Try updating the graphics drivers, if that does not work, you can try disabling hardware acceleration
by setting the environment variable QTWEBENGINE_CHROMIUM_FLAGS="--disable-gpu". If neither of these work then I suggest
downgrading to calibre 7.16 which has an older version of Qt WebEngine for the time being.
