You appear to have a Libra2, so look for these lines in the current patch:
Code:
          # LibraH2O/Libra2
        - Find: "[qApp_deviceIsStorm=true] {\n font-size: 29px;\n}"
          Replace: "[qApp_deviceIsStorm=true] {\n font-size: 29px; margin-top: 0px;\n}"
and change the 3rd line to something like the following:
Code:
          Replace: "[qApp_deviceIsStorm=true] {\n font-size:29px;margin-top:0px;color:#555;\n}"
You can change the grey level (in red) to whatever you like.

You no longer need a patch for this, you can manually edit the Kobo config file. See this post for details.

Once you've done that and seen the effect in kepubs you might also consider patch KePub stylesheet additions - word-spacing in libnickel.so.1.0.0.yaml if you usually read your books full-justified and you're not happy with the existing kepub word spacing.

ETA: The ligatures and kerning will only be as good as the font you've chosen to read your kepub.

I have this firmware (4.38.21908) on my Aura One, and I just now realised that 4.38.23038 is out! Yeah, I'm slow, I know.
Anyway, I can't seem to find a patch for it! So my question is if the patches for 4.38.21908 works for the latest firmware as well?

The patches for 4.38.21908 do work with 4.38.23038 with some minor changes.

Install 4.38.218098 and go the the following link and download the patches posted by DNSB.

As much as they generally do. There's some which need more changes, but I haven't had enough time this summer to deal with everything (Kobo also changed some other stuff which I need to fix to do a proper release).

The patches mostly work. All the ones I use work. Some needed new offsets.

How do you figure out what the new offsets are?

The answer is in post #50 of this thread. If you still have a problem, ask in the thread I've linked in post #50 and someone will help.

Thanks. I guess I was more wondering what went into determining what the new offset was, moreso than just being presented with the new offset number. I was asking because I have an underlying question which I now posted in the thread in post #50. Thanks for the reply.
