I want a dynamic view that will show me books in my library with a certain tag. I can set up a filter view, but it's static, and if i add new tags to books, even when the library updates, the filter view doesn't update as well. Is there something else I can do to get a dynamic view?

UGH, the help documentation explicitly says V2 in the screenshots, that never occured to me.
I'm closer--it's basically updating everything I've ever opened {not great} and only when I use two way sync, but that's something i guess? |

I am using Calibre Content Server and Calibre Sync on my Android devices. I have just added a single new book to Calibre. Is there a quick way to get it into my Calibre Sync library. I currently have about 8,000 books in my library and I have that duplicated on three devices. When I say sync it takes a very long time, even though nothing has changed, except for the one book I added. Is there a quick way to not try and sync everything but just grab new items, possibly after a specific date if that is easier. The books need to be in the same library as my other 8,000 not on there own........Jackie

No, unfortunately you always have to sync the entire library.
But I'm surprised that it takes so long for you. I would say with this size it should take a maximum of….2-3 minutes. But maybe it's because you're doing it via the content server. |

What sync method do you use? My sync can take hours. I really want to be able to pass my read status back to Calibre on Windows and I think that Content Server is my only choice. I was hoping OneDrive would do that but I don't think it does........Jackie

I sync 5,400 books from my MacBook running calibre content server to my iphone running calibre sync and it takes about a minute. This is over Wifi.
NB this is syncing the metadata, not downloading all the books. |

I think OneDrive would do it. Why don’t you set up a small test library on it and test it? But always keep your main library on your PC and maintain only a copy on OD - better safe than sorry. An additional advantage would be that you don't always have to download all the books to your phone |

Never 2 way sync a Cloud copy into a working Library. Something WILL be different, Causing data / books to be lost or corrupted over time. |

You’re right, I overlooked that in the faqs - sorry.
If I were you, if you don't get the content server fixed, I would do without the two-way read status (cloud copy). To be honest, I've never understood why it's so important anyway, but to each his own. |
