Thank you.
I delete the plugboard and simply send the book to the device.
I forgot that I need to connect the kobo reader once more to Calibre to update metadata.
Now the book list show what I want.
Thank you again.

If you install NickelSeries you don't need a second connection for the series data. https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=331680

But there is quite a bit of metadata I want such as page and word counts that will require a second connection.

And by doing the second connect to get the metadata, i get my list of what books I have on my Libra 2 updated.

You can get that without a second connect by using ReadingList and a revised SmartEject. You could also create an action that combines sending and adding a mark to a Calibre column.

As noted, you miss some metadata, so it depends on how important it is to have that up to date.

I have the feeling the three of us have had this conversation more than once.

Very likely since we all seem to want different information in our libraries. For me, the metadata I want is only available using the second connect since the database entries in which the metadata is stored are not created until the import after the first connect eject. Since my TBR list is very short maxing out around 5 books, I do not want to wait for the next first connect to update that metadata.

I want to make sure I have all the metadata for my books. A reconnect to calibre does not mean I have to unplug the USB cable as I use NickelMenu to trigger a USB event so it reconnects to the computer with the USB cable in place.

Doesn't everybody do that? The only question is if you toggle the auto usb gadget on/off.

I think the point of NickelSeries is being able to avoid that second re-connect, lol.

But NickelSeries does not transfer all the metadata over. It does series/series ID (ePub3 or calibre)and subtitle (either ePub3 or calibre custom column named #subtitle) if they are embedded in the ePub. I sent quite a few more bits of metadata so NickelSeries is not useful to me and likely never will be since quite a bit of the metadata I use does not have a standard ePub3 metadata format.

For me, eject, wait for import to complete, tap on NickelMenu => USB connect, let the connection run and when job count reaches 0, safely eject.

I do think NickelSeries needs an upgrade so it can at least grab the description from OPF and populate that as well.

In my case, that won't do as I delete the description as in most cases the description contains bits of review and also mostly it's incomplete. So I dump the description from the OPF in those cases.
