So not more options here,as i find my ebooks mainly on pdf's..Maybe a bigger ereader with 7,8" screen size could make the trick..Also i do this process, cause i translate english books to greek.i use google to translate them.(i can't choose epub,so pdf os my only option) and also i can't find any free or paid at once at a lifetime software that translates epub's over 300 pages..

Tried many ways.Spent countless hours. The problem is that my pdf's are very old with bad structure.Only solution is either straight EPUB'S,either bigger e-reader.Or if i am lucky enough,AI could do this for me-us soon.

Then the solution is a cheap tablet to read them on.

(Method to download from Amazon: Go to the Amazon website and get the URL for the latest installer. It should be an S3 bucket "public" link. The installer file name ends with the version number, and also has the "build number" as a directory. Changing both of these to match the number above should get you a good link) |

Just to make Jon happy, I took the 2 seconds to generate the link from the KindleForPC-installer-2.6.70964.exe link.
KindleForPC-installer-2.4.70904.exe from Amazon The mass of junk after the .exe in the original URL can be disregarded. |

Seems to me Amazon are slowly but surely cuttting off all avenues to prevent people De-DRM'ing their books for use on non-Kindle devices (from their perspective they want to prevent people distributing to people who haven't paid which I get. It is frustarting for people who want to use their kindle content on another device).
I don't really follow the ins and outs too closely but I think they've already made the encryption on KFX files too strong for DeDRM and so it only works when an alternative method is used that downloads a different file from the kindle itself, an old kindle for pc version or download via usb. I suspect at some point there will be an end to the 'download via USB option' for those with pre-2024 kindles, at least for any 'new books' purchased. And I can see a software update to kindles coming that locks the ability to transfer certain files from the kindle at some point. |
