Unhappy Custom recipe doesn't work
Hello,

This feed:
https://orientxxi.info/?page=backend&lang=fr

loads just fine with Feedbro but Calibre won't read any of the threads. Have no idea why -- could you help?

Have attached a screenshot of the setup page. Setups like this work for multiple other feeds.

it works.. check log, if there's an SSL verification error, you can fix it by visiting the website or that rss link on edge.

Yeah, I'm attaching the log from calibre.

It doesn't report an error but it still fails to download a single article nonetheless.

you are getting ssl verification error here. Fix was already suggested to you on the other thread.

the Intercept should've worked. Check link and oldest_article again

Correct on both points. Thanks for all your suggestions.

However, there's still a thing with regard to Orient XXI that I don't understand: calibre downloads the issue but some of the articles only appear with their header and/or endnotes, not the article body. And it's free content, not paywalled. What's the rationale? (Can show illustrations if needed.)

That means auto_cleanup isnt working with this recipe.
You can use keep_only_tags to select tags with content or just remove auto_cleanup from code.

I'd like a custom recipe for Le Courrier d'Europe Centrale using my login details (username and password).

A previous version of mine with

fails to fetch the articles.

I guess there must be some best practice to include login details.

This paper is free but requires signing up for accessing the articles.
