What files to create to get back to "Set up your Kindle" ?
Does anyone know what files have to exist to force a Kindle Scribe to *go back to the OOBE state"?
This is the opposite of the recent question about bypassing the aggressive Kindle prompting. Since a Factory Reset is one way to get out of the out-of-the-box experience, presumably there are some additional flag files in the standard image? Last edited by bulltricks; Yesterday at 04:34 PM. You can just launch oobe through LIPC
(I think it's a combination of files in var and dynamic props but i don't exactly remember. Look into the OOBE binary in /app ) Last edited by Marek; Today at 12:42 PM. |

With all due respect to your work(donated for ur ko-fi), I guess, we should not show users, how to tamper the serial number, to bypass registrations. Amazon might be using the device serial number for warranty. If the user assigns serial number of another device registered with Amazon(which is purchased), wouldn't it cause issues to the valid device ? Mergen published strps on JBing scribe and successful registration. Also we have extensions for disabling updates/logging. Sorry for hijacking thread.
