Multiple covers in 7.13.0?
I just updated to 7.13.0 and I noticed this in the "What's new":

When merging books add an option to store discarded or replaced covers as an alternate cover in the data folder of the target book

Is there a way to store alternate covers in the data folder without the "merge" function? I'd love to be able to have multiple covers for series that have changed their covers over the years, but I'm not sure how to do it.

I assume the wording refers to that 'Data Folder'

I just did this, and two things happened:

1. It added the file to the "Data Folder" as you suggested it would.
2. It replaced the actual cover of the book, which was not expected.

Did you leave the cover selected AFTER depositing it in the data folder?
That is why it also ended up as the new 'cover' when you clicked OK

2 choices
Select the real cover
or
Cancel the cover picker dialog (only)
