Aunt Dimity's Christmas doesn't go on sale every December, at least according to eReaderIQ, but it does go on sale lots of Decembers. Including this one...

The links are still good.

About half (???) of the books in the Simon Puttock/Sir Baldwin Furnshill (Knights Templar) series by Michael Jecks have gone on sale in the US, some for $0.99 each, a bunch more for $1.99 each, and some for $2.99 each. As I've mentioned before, I have fond memories of picking up the early titles in this series in paperback (before e-books) while in the UK on business trips, and then reading them on the plane on the way home. There are way too many titles for me to type them all out, but there is a link for the series webpage at Kindle US down below, and also a price-sorted link for Michael Jecks at Kobo US, because the series link at Kobo US doesn’t pick up all of these titles.

Basically, the first book and books 14 – 18 are $0.99 each, books 19 – 23 are $1.99 each, and books 24 – 28 are $2.99 each. So if you like the series, but have some missing books – this may be your chance to fill in!

Kindle US series webpage: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B086SQMQ8Z...kindle_edition

Price-sorted link for Michael Jecks books at Kobo US: https://www.kobo.com/us/en/search?qu...&sort=PriceAsc There are a few strays by other authors at the beginning of the first page, but the Knights Templar sale listings start about half-way down, and continue through the top of the third page.

I loved the The Physicists' Daughter, which was the first in a new series by Mary Anna Evans, and I also liked the second book, The Traitor Beside Her, a lot. (It suffered only in comparison to how much I really loved the first book.) Now The Traitor Beside Her is on sale at Kindle US for $3.51, but doesn't seem to be on sale anywhere else, at least as of now. Kind of an odd price, but lower than it has been so far.

Quote:
Justine Byrne can't trust the people working beside her. Arlington Hall, a former women's college in Virginia has been taken over by the United States Army where hundreds of men and women work to decode countless pieces of communication coming from the Axis powers.

Justine works among them, handling the most sensitive secrets of World War II—but she isn't there to decipher German codes—she's there to find a traitor.

Justine keeps her guard up and her ears open, confiding only in her best friend, Georgette, a fluent speaker of Choctaw who is training to work as a code talker. Justine tries to befriend each suspect, believing that the key to finding the spy lies not in cryptography but in understanding how code breakers tick. When young women begin to go missing at Arlington Hall, her deadline for unraveling the web of secrets becomes urgent and one thing remains clear: a single secret in enemy hands could end thousands of lives.

I had a review copy of this one too, and if you want to read my review, it's on my blog...

Reed Farrel Coleman has written a number of continuation titles in Robert B Parker’s Jesse Stone series, all of which I've liked.* *But he's also an accomplished writer of several series of his own, and is probably best known for his Moe Prager books.* *Now the first two books - and, at the moment, the only two books - in his newest series, the Nick Ryan series, are on sale in the US, and at Kindle UK, but oddly enough, not at Kobo UK, at least as of now.

The Cask by Freeman Willis Crofts is on sale at Amazon UK for £0.99 today.

"From the Collins Crime Club archive, the seminal first novel by Freeman Wills Crofts, once dubbed ‘The King of Detective Story Writers’ and recognised as one of the ‘big four’ Golden Age crime authors.

The unloading of a consignment of French wine from the steamship Bullfinch is interrupted by a gruesome discovery in a broken cask leaking sawdust and gold sovereigns. But when the shipping clerk returns with the police, the cask and its macabre contents have gone. Following the clues to Paris, Inspector Burnley of Scotland Yard enlists the help of the genial French detective M. Lefarge to check motives and alibis in their hunt for evidence of a particularly fiendish murder.

This Detective Story Club classic is introduced by Freeman Wills Crofts himself in a unique preface from 1946 about The Cask’s origins."

Barbara Hambly is pretty well known for her Benjamin January series, in which I've now read (and liked) a few books. And she also writes several science fiction series, which I haven't read and can't comment on. Now she has a new-ish mystery series out, the Silver Screen series, with only three books, at least so far. The first book is on sale right now for $2.99/£2.99 in the US/UK, and the second two books are "on sale" for around $5/£4, which I wouldn't have posted if not for the first book. The books are discountable at Kobo, and in a rare move, actually cheaper at Kobo UK than at Kindle UK, even without the discount...

The Peter Decker 3-Book Thriller Collection contains the second, third, and fourth books in Faye Kellerman's Peter Decker/Rina Lazarus series: Sacred and Profane, Milk and Honey, and Day of Atonement. It's on sale right now in the UK for £0.99, which is a great price even if you only need one or two of the books.

Quote:
THREE GRIPPING PETER DECKER AND RINA LAZARUS CRIME NOVELS FROM NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR FAYE KELLERMAN.

SACRED AND PROFANE: The second book in the Peter Decker and Rina Lazarus series. Detective Peter Decker is enjoying a well-earned camping vacation—until Rina’s son Sammy stumbles upon a gruesome sight . . .

Two human skeletons, charred beyond recognition, are identified by forensics as teenage girls—and for Decker, the father of a sixteen-year-old daughter, vacation time is over. Throwing himself into the murder case, he launches a very personal investigation: a quest that pulls him deep into the crack dens of Hollywood Boulevard and painfully close to the children of the streets and a nightmare world he must make his own.

MILK AND HONEY: The third book in the Decker and Lazarus series. In the silent pre-dawn city hours, LAPD detective Peter Decker finds a small child, abandoned and covered with blood that is not her own.

Obsessed by this case, Decker is determined to follow the scant clues to an answer. But his trail is leading him to a killing ground where four bodies lie still and lifeless. And by the time Rina returns, Peter Decker is already held fast in a sticky mass of hatred, passion, and murder—in a world where intense sweetness is accompanied by a deadly sting.

DAY OF ATONEMENT: The fourth book in the Peter Decker and Rina Lazarus series. Decker and Lazarus’s holiday comes to an abrupt end when a boy vanishes from the midst of a close-knit religious community – a troubled youth fleeing the tight bonds and strictures he felt were strangling him.

The runaway, Noam, is not travelling alone. A killer has taken him under his wing to introduce Noam to a savage world of blood and terror. And now Decker must find them both before a psychopath ends the life of a confused and frightened youngster whose only sin was to want something more.

That's odd, because those links still show at £0.99 for me at both Kindle UK and Kobo UK. Are you maybe somewhere they charge tax at Kindle ??? Which sounds odd, because I've not seen that. But hard to see why we'd see different prices. OTOH, even £1.08 is still a nice price if you need all three, or even one or two of the three...
