After login, find the given book, click on the title, then search for Vocab section. Just copy the text. |

Update: I have found a different way to achieve this. My use case: I’m trying to improve my French, so I always make sure that my dictionary lookup history ends up in Anki. I don’t want to login to a website every time I want to update my flashcards and I want to choose which dictionary lookups should be exported. This is how I managed to achieve this on my iPad, in case someone else is looking to achieve something similar: 1. I’m using Obsidian, and my vault is synced through Git. 2. I created a custom action in MapleRead that exports my selection to Obsidian: obsidian://new?vault=My%20vault&name=MaplereadVocabExport&app end=true&silent=true&content={text} 3. Then I wrote a script on my Linux PC that runs git pull in my Obsidian vault directory, looks up every line in the MaplereadVocabExport.md file in a dictionary, and exports the results to Anki. This way I can open Obsidian in slide-over mode, then open MapleRead and swipe the Obsidian window away so that it’s not hovering over MapleRead. When I want to export a certain word, I click the “obsidian” custom command. Obsidian opens in slide-over mode, the word gets added, and then I just swipe it away. I've been using Mapleread SE for about 6 months, maybe longer. So far I like it much better than other apps I've tried. After importing my books, I view them in the Ungrouped set sorted by date read and the one I'm currently reading is at the top. Makes it easy to find. After I've finished I move them to my own created sets. This process works for me where all my unread which I've never touched after importing are in Ungrouped and sorted by title since there is no "date read". (FYI I edit the metadata before upload so that the title field is actually a combination of author, series, and title. Makes things sort exactly how I want it.)
My problem is occasionally I'll open a book by mistake. Now it has a "date read" and is sorted at the top instead of with all the others. Is there a way to reset the "date read"? I've looked in that metadata screen and didn't see it there? I know I could always delete and add it again but I don't think it's that important at this point but I would appreciate knowing if there is an easy way to reset the "date read". Thanks for any help! |
