Also "pirate content" is legally an issue for the site that hosts it, even more than the uploader and dowloader. The downloader is least liable in any civil copyright action. But all irrelevant to physically being able to read a downloaded PDF and the remote deletion on a PC is impossible normally.

I just want to make it crystal clear that I'm not downloading any pirated ebooks on Scribd as I fully respect the right of authors to receive compensation. I avoid all suspicious ebooks on Scribd.

I aspire to be a writer someday so I'd never harm a writer's source of livelihood.
