My battery seems to be working fine, but is anyone else having freezing issues? It’s happened to me at least twice this week, where everything completely freezes, and I have to hard reset to get it working again. I’ve also had issues with page turning, it’ll frequently turn, then the screen will kind of flash, and it’ll go back to the previous page.

Yep. And more often than twice this past week, too; it's more like daily.

Also flashes during highlighting. And books switching to default font after reboot with inability to restore the previous font selection (although other choices remain available)…

Looks like my current eInk device (Kindle 11th generation, sold as kids edition) is also eligible for the upgrade, so I am keeping in airplane mode.

Googling, I’m seeing many mentions of this upgrade causing problems, and I also see some mentions in Paperwhite customer reviews at Amazon.com. I guess Amazon will react eventually, but it seems a big enough embarrassment that you’d think a well-managed company would be getting out front to set expectations for a fix.

Makes me wonder what the issue was with 5.16.10 that had them pull the update and then release 5.16.10.1 (or is it 5.16.10.0.1).
