Almost seven years later, Playback is now $1.99 in the US. It normally sits in the $8 - $13 range, and I don't think I've ever seen it at $1.99, so if you want it, today is the day to grab it. Unless you live in Canada, of course, or one of the other countries in which it is in the public domain, in which case you can download for free from Faded Page or Project Gutenberg Canada or other PD websites.
