Tutorial LanguageBreak - Software Jailbreak for (probably) any Kindle <=

Finally got the LanguageBreak to work on my P3 kindle running FW 5.16.2.1.1

hopefully it'll help anyone stuck in the same part

i kept getting stuck on steps 15, 16 and 17.

after copying files over the 2nd time, i tried all sorts of restart combinations, long press short press, no press, but would never get the language option to come up after reboot, it would just reboot into the same demo mode and ;demo would cause a bootloop instead of bringing up the demo menu. Had to reset kindle to start over.

What fixed it was reinstalling the same fw i had using the link in the first post:

Download the update file of the kindle version you are currently on from amazon install it and try again.

for example you can use this link by replacing the Xs with your version to get a file for you kindle

mine ended up being

did factory reset, pasted the fw bin file in the root directory of the kindle and restart.

after reboot the fw was successfully installed and went thru the LanguageBreak install process again, for step 16, after i copied the files over, i ejected the kindle from PC and held the power button down for 2 seconds and let go, after another couple of seconds, kindle restarted and i got the language selection screen to finally come up.
