The high for the day was 92°F in the early afternoon, then it dropped to 72 as a system of very strong thunderstorms moved through. We had periods of torrential rain, but the really impressive aspect of these storms was how much lightning we had. The rains, and especially the lightning, have calmed down, but we're expecting mostly rain for the next several days. (I'm pretty sure this is a different system than poohbear_nc experienced. We're expecting that system on Thursday and Friday.)

It looks like we're getting similar weather to yesterday; 24℃, dry and a slight breeze. It does look like it will be sunnier, which also should mean it will be less muggy.
Tomorrow will be similar in temperature but it'll be rainy. From Sunday it's predicted we're getting another three hot days, on Monday the current prediction is 32-34℃. But from Wednesday it should cool down, again. I guess we're fairly lucky this summer; yes we've had some 30℃+ days (locally) but the hot weather so far lasts only a couple of days each time and not go on for weeks on end. |

Yesterday was hot, officially 31℃, but locally over 33℃. Luckily it wasn't as humid as predicted. It was an unpleasantly warm night, barely any wind to cool down my bedroom so I didn't get much sleep.
Today is also hot, a little less so. Currently at 2.30pm it's 30℃ (both officially and local). It isn't as sunny as predicted, overall thing clouds which temper the sun a bit. However, after yesterday the house is warmed up so it doesn't take much to get the temperature up. For this even and through the night rain and thunderstorms are predicted and from 1am until 3pm tomorrow there's an amber weather warning. On the one hand the rain and thunderstorms are nice, it'll cool things down (tomorrow's max is around 23℃), but because of the rain I can only open my windows a little bit, so airing out my bedroom isn't really possible. |

Currently 19°C with a high of 21°C predicted. Mostly cloudy skies but minimal chance of rain. Overall, a nice day for a walk and relaxing on a patio.
