Editing Series Names

Is it possible to edit the name of a series without changing the sequence number? For example, select the books to change in

Series Such and Such
to
Series Such & Such

already numbered 3, 7, 15, 4, etc.

When I leave auto numbering unchecked, the number gets changed to 1.

A plugin maybe?

You don't need a plugin.

• On the left side of the calibre screen, look for series.
• Click the arrow next to series.
• Click the arrow next to the letter or letters of the series you want to change.
• Find the series name and right click on it and select to rename.

Easiest - assign a keyboard shortcut to Manage Categories, or add it to a toolbar or menu.
