Why do you get a bootloop from editing a URL, anyway?

I was able to do this for the Nickelmenu link, but I'm not sure how to accomplish this with the others. I have to use a larger font for the UI due to my eyesight, so the words of the links are too close together.
I got my first Kobo reader yesterday, and the wasted space (both in the text, and in the button that's completely worthless to me because I don't have a pen) was bugging me too, so I implemented removing the NickelMenu button and removing/configuring existing buttons in NickelMenu. If you want to play around with it before the pull request gets merged/a release happens, you can download this build and mimic the configuration in the second pull request.

Would you please show a before/after photos? Also what would this release do for a Libra 2?
