I used one of these on my MeeBook, and I find it also makes the Libra Colour easier to hold.

Easily removable and adjustable.

Given the relative thickness of the device, is there any concern that accidental pressure on the popsocket can damage the e-ink layer of the screen, such as from an accidental drop, from device bumping into books when stored in a backpack, etc?

Go to the Kobo subreddit and search for pop socket. Many people have been using it. I didn’t see any problems reported.
