Eve Dallas. Great story but she's incredibly rude to just about everyone and expects anyone she needs something from to drop everything and help her NOW.
I figure the most dangerous thing to be would be a neighbor to any "amateur sleuth" in a cozy mystery series. Seems a guarantee that you or someone you love will die in an unexpected and questionable way. |

Quote:
There are some fictional police detectives who would probably be OK neighbors - Milo Sturgis of the Alex Delaware series by Kellerman; Harry Bosch of the series by Connelly. Bosch's home is invaded by bad guys every once in a while but at least they limit themselves to his house and don't go around killing his neighbors. The many annoying neighbors, relatives and other kooky characters in any of the Jane Austen books are funny to read about but I am glad they are not my neighbors or relatives! Just imagine being courted by the odious Mr. Collins, or having to put up with Lady Catherine de Bourgh as an in-law.... |

I don't know that there are any fictional characters I would actually want to know in real life.

Harry Dresden.
My stuff is either too flammable or too electrical to be comfortable with him around. |

'Lady' Brett Ashley from Fiesta: The Sun also Rises. I love the book but I don't remember any fictional female character antagonising me as much as she did. Maybe a re read will shed more light on it.
