Is it normal to have to press harder on certain points on the screen?

Hey,

I bought a refurbished Boox Tab Ultra and really like it, but recently noticed when drawing a line that there was a gap in the middle of the line. I then started sketching lightly all around it and ended up with a perfectly blank circle in the middle of all my scribbles, like it wasn't detecting it in that circle. If I press a bit harder, it does recognise it, however. The size of the circle is about 15 mm in diameter.

Is this a known 'thing', or does anybody have any idea on what this is? Dodgy hardware etc?

Just to add, this only happens in one place on the screen, in the lower left quadrant...

Thanks in advance!

No, this is not good.
Keep an eye on this.
Save a screenshot with you doodling lightly.
Be on the lookout for the area widening.
It could be that physical damage has caused the seal on the edge to break.
Air and humidity go in coroding the electrodes.
Usually this is more often on the display and not the capacitive touch layer.

Do you happen to have a magnet in the case of 15 mm circle?
