The very title of this thread is misleading, and false.
They aren't "deleting files" They did delete one book, ages ago, because it was illegally uploaded and the copy right owners requested it. ALL purchasers were offered a $30 reimbursement. Anyone really concerned about Amazons ability/intentions of deleting files, or snooping on their device.......... should not buy a Kindle. Even if its offered for $100. |

Worst case scenario, you crack the DRM, convert them to something else, and you still have them.
