astak ezreader, read-only filesystem
hi all!
i have gotten an astak ezreader, eb-06ez, and i cannot transfer any files to it! i have plugged it into my linux pc and the device turns on and i press OK to initiate the connection. then, i see the internal memory is automatically mounted on /media/disk, and i can see the files stored in the ezreader... the user guide and the free books that came with it. but... the file-system is read-only! i can't make any changes, like copying my own ebooks to it! anyone know what's up? how to mount the file-system read-write? thanks. |

what does dmesg say when the intermal memory is being mounted?
afaik, if there are too many fs errors, it will be mounted ro. |

My simple solution, it may works.
connect to Windows check to see removable drive with no OS format internal drive carefully |

ok thanks, i tried that and i can write to the filesystem now, but the ezreader cannot read anything i've written! when i turn on the ezreader, it doesn't show any of the files... all it has is "recent files" or whatever. if i plug back into the computer, i can see all of the data is still there..
so, it seems, i can write to the filesystem fine now, but the ezreader is no longer reading it.. haha. |

i tried both actually, FAT first, and then FAT32, and then back to FAT with a full format instead of quick... same behavior.
