@Sevenlives Seems some devices already got it. Mine doesn't have it yet, but it'll probably be available soon.
EDIT: seems I'm late |

Some users are saying that the official ota update for note 2 is available. I'm not sure if give it a try or wait for some feedback. Have anyone updated? How is battery? Thanks!

Got my Nova 2 updated a while ago, and it's great. Layers in notes are really cool, and an annoying bug where small particles were left when using template in notes got fixed. Other than that, system refreshes seem faster. Not sure about changes in NeoReader, since I don't use it. But so far, it's a good update

I did put my Max3 to Asia, but no OTA update comes up...maybe they pulled it?

As someone on this thread was so kind to send me the apk-file for Neoreader, I've went ahead and installed it on my Onyx Note Pro, running firmware 2.3.1 with Android version 6.0.1. It works! The version number is changed from 12693 to 23052. I tested it with the files that were open before updating: a regular epub and a PDF with split screen for notes. The epub, PDF and notes displayed fine.
If I receive the knote-release2.apk file, I'll test that one, too. I think this the chance that an update for the older devices running Android 6 will appear, has increased considerably! Last edited by Markismus; 11-05-2020 at 08:13 AM. |

Thanks, I did do this, but nothing comes up. Seems like the update has been pulled.
Those who managed to get the update, does it come with the system-wide split screen, like the one in the Lumi and Android 10 devices? Thanks! |

According to a comment from the official moderator of the Boox Facebook "fans" group:
"...firmware V3.0 for Poke2, Max3, Note2, and Nova2 will be available for everybody early next week. Please pay attention to our official announcement next week. The firmware for other models such as Note Pro, Nova Pro will be available in the coming weeks. " Sounds like good news! |

Just installed the knote2-release.apk. It works and we have layers and extra drawing tools, such as a felt highlighter(?). Will have to try 2 see what that does!

Here are knote.apk and kreader.apk
https://markismus.stackstorage.com/s/JS44al5fPvgdgOJn thanks @Markismus for hosting. They *should* work on the "older" devices that didn't receive update yet. sha256sum: 8a065135c6c600cfffb9cbb2994fc128aa11808c440c8830cc 88d447d0e50e0a knote2-release.apk 60056571fd1e5fc15a2feb6bfd925802d052861a5518bc8b26 985742de00d23e kreader2-release.apk 606a06fce7387bae663b6bb4b479b42485e9f7762770d0adf2 92a6e7a984995d Browser.apk EDIT: Markismus had problems installing Browser.apk, other applications should be fine though.
