Update: I found another thread where a user had the same problem and deleting InvertScreen=true in the eraeder.conf fixed the issue. I have no idea why installing kobo uncaged had this side effect though.

Hi, I have got a Clara2E. Is it possible to use Kobo-UNCaGED with it?

It should be possible, but I haven't worked on this program for quite a while, so I'm not sure.

It needs to connect ereader via KUncaged, right click on device icon, device settings, uncheck "replace books with same calibre id" or something similar, disconnect device and resync. All tags are correct now. |

I installed the latest version and have it running on my Libra 2. It's successfully connected to Calibre, but in Calibre, when I select the device it shows no books, and on the 'library' page in calibre, there's no green checks, etc, on books that are loaded.
Any idea how to fix/troubleshoot? |

Hmm. I've run into a strange issue with the Libra Colour and Kobo UNCaGED.
I had no issue installing NickelMenu and NickelClock. When I installed Kobo UNCaGED by a simple unzip of the github release, the initial launch of UNCaGED forces a reboot (as expected) to install NickelDBUS. However if post reboot i try to launch UNCaGED it again goes through a reboot cycle; prior to that second reboot there is no KoboRoot.tgz in the .kobo directory. In fact every time I launch it the same thing happens. So I thought I'd manually install NickelDBUS before installing UNCaGED. The install of NDbus seems to complete; I do see the nickeldbus file in the .adds directory. Reinstalling UNCaGED and launching it now puts up the message box "Starting Kobo UNCaGED" followed by a message "Running precautionary library scan" and a message "Kobo UNCaGED Finished". Checking the .adds directory there is no sign of a log file being created. Any ideas as to what I can check? This is all using the current 4.39.22861 firmware. Sent from my Pixel 7a using Tapatalk |

Yeah, Kobo UNCaGED is way out of date, and I made the unfortunate decision to check the kobo model (for cover info) and don't think I added a fallback for newer models.
I'm trying to decide whether to give KU a complete overhaul (there's plenty of issues with it), or if I come up an alternative way to sync books with calibre, maybe using tags. |

Ah I'll keep watching then.
Since of late my main computing is done on a Chromebook and while yes, I can pass a USB storage device through to the Linux environment where it appears under /mnt/chromeos/removable/ ... it doesn't get recognized as a USB device by Calibre, I tend to use UNCaGED for easy access.
