My H2O downloaded the update regularly through OTA, all on its own, but after it installed it wouldn't turn on again and kept getting stuck on the 'moving squares' screen eventually, after 30 mins, I tried to reboot it and it gave me a critical error -- I had to factory reset it.
Won't be trying that very soon on the Glo HD I think. Oh, and I still have the old home screen.

On a positive note, I'm reloading my books through Calibre and the device's processing time seems to be way faster than it was before.

This is my H20 home screen, I find it clean and simple. The top are three books I have started, with room for one more. The bottom left is my Books. The 'advertising' is bottom right ( I don't mind the covers myself) and the two bottom links (just words).

Updated my KA1, despite patches not being out. I got the new homescreen and actually really like it. I never cared for for most of the tiles that were on the old homescreen. I wouldn't mind being able to get rid of the not in progress book displays, but eh. This feels a lot cleaner, and a lot more consolidated.

Series sort is nice, haven't checked if it's there for collections as well but I presume it is.

I am a little disappointed that Kobo still hasn't added support for multiple public libraries to their overdrive implementation.

Not if you want the new home screen, you have to have recommendations. If you turn them off your home screen consists of six rectangle collection covers, like the OS used to be.

I have it on my lower resolution Aura 6", so that is not the criteria.

For now I think I will leave it and see what I think.

I am not seeing a way to sort the collection by index number; I can sort by title or series, and I get an alphabetical sort by title.

The top left dropdown has an "activity" selection. You cannot make it stick to the home screen though.
