Download cover results different ((almost) same book)

Edit metadata/Download cover from the same book (in partly very slightly different stages of processing or title/author names) found different results.

What influences this cover search? As seems to indicate my experiments that is a mix of title and author.

Furthermore I would like clarity.

The last two books are 100% identical (original), except for the title.

The results (cover selection) of the first and last book are identical, although the first is already edited, the last original. Obviously, the degree of editing does not matter.

Besides ISBN and Title, Author ? The bias is for a Match to ISBN since ISBN define a precise edition. Next would be Title with matching author

Covers are supplied from ALL the metadata sources configured for you to choose from.
You can configure less
You can set your source preference number for covers (I believe this is also used dor the blind, (ctrl-D, get metadata

My case, Fantastic Fiction is in the 1 slot, Amazon in 2...

BTW the 2 tone cover was generated by Calibre when there was no cover present. It is NOT automagically embedded into the book
