Kindle Oasis Charging Cover out of stock
Amazon used to sell charging covers for the Oasis, but they don't seem to do so any longer - at least on the UK site. I was thinking of buying an extra cover , they used to sell them last year at £79 but now the link says the item is out of stock and no info on when and if it will be available again. Wonder if this is a permanent thing?

Don't buy an extra cover. All you'll end up doing is keeping one of them in the drawer and the battery will go flat and not work as well as it should.

US site shows Black is in stock ($79.99). The other colors are available from third party sellers, starting around $55.

One does wonder if they plan to produce any more, however. They probably don't sell many of them.

I have black and walnut cover. I changed the cover depending color of my shirts and shoes. Also, some situation is better to use the black one such as due to its exterior is more 'water-resistence' compared to walnut.

At the prices asked for those covers, it would probably be better for you to dress to match the Kindle.

Say it is stupid all you want. That doesn't make it stupid, but most of us already know that.

Already have the Oasis, so an extra cover might come in handy. What would be stupid would be to buy another whole ereader that is 2-3 times the price of an extra cover when I already have the reader that works perfectly for me.

And considering that the Oasis has buttons, and Voyage doesn't, buying a voyage would just be stupid. or maybe even stupidly stupid. Or maybe even stupendously stupidly stupid. Yeah, I'm going with that last one.

That's not actually much more than Amazon cases have always cost. It's just that now the battery provides some justification for what was always previously a ridiculously inflated price.
