IMHO: Center is not good for ingredients (ragged left is hard to track with eyes)

My 1st ingredient out-dent does not work

but you can get the idea

Not a perfect solution, but the best one I came up with today.

Brandy Cocktail. 
(Use small bar-glass.)

Take 3 or 4 dashes of gum syrup. 

2 dashes of bitters (Boker's or Angostura). 
1 wine-glass of brandy. 
1 or 2 dashes of Curacoa. 

Fill the glass one-third full of shaved ice, shake up well and strain into a cocktail glass. Twist a small piece of lemon rind in it and serve.

Tables are not well supported on many reader devices.

I would guess you might want to use (a reader device) one

, since the document was small

The Index would be cool (not being a boozer, I don't know much about the organization)

Well that is certainly not ePUB's fault. Actually my Astak device does pretty well with ePUB tables if they are small.
