Since Sporadic has opted to delete the main list and leave the forum, I feel that there is little reason to continue this thread as a sticky. If anyone else would like to start a thread similar, let me knkow, and I'll sticky it for you.

koland has been doing a great job of tracking books. I'd like to see this stay up as a sticky where it has been. sporadic never indicated that it was HIS list. he was more than happy for any/everyone to add to it and benefit from it. can it please go back where it was?

Tumor should not be on the list. because by the time you add up the costs of all the chapters, it's more then the cutoff point to be on the list.

It's too bad Sporadic decided to leave. Any volunteers to take over the list? Maybe we should break the list into two list. One free and one cheap books, as I'm sure this list would be a pain to maintain, so two volunteers each handling a list might be easier.

I think it should just be restored as is with the original guidelines. everyone can contribute to it as they can. I don't think sporadic ever demanded autonomy, and it would be a nice tribute to his efforts.

We don't have the list constructed, so to do it, we would have to start all over and make the list. It would be simpler to just start new, since only a mod would be able to edit the original post to keep it up.

it seems that most of us completely missed out on whatever happened. I scrolled through the last 10 or so of Sporadic's posts before his departure, and short of an apparent distaste to a poster about the Kindle, I saw nothing negative. whatever happened, happened behind the scenes and didn't involve the rest of us. why can't this just be moved back up to where it was and be added to like it was.

I'm not sure what is meant by the "original list" as that is/was fluid. those books changed sometimes daily. it was ALWAYS changing...

The original posting of this thread had the master list that was kept up by the original poster. When he left Mobileread, he deleted it. In order to have a list that is current, it has to be edited by the OP. So, that is why I have stickied Daithi's new list.
