Welcome, Leep!
Sony does allow you to register up to 3 readers to a single account. Presumably then, a couple could share an account and swap books back and forth, via SD card or through eBook Library installed on a single shared computer. It would even be technically possible to give a third Reader to a friend, registered to your account, and they could download all the books you've purchased. That would have to be a highly trusted friend, because a single account has a single billing method. They could run up purchases on your account! |

Actually, Sony allows you to register 6 devices and one of them has to be a computer. So that gives you 5 readers you can register to one account to share purchased DRM filled eBooks.
