A close race this month! FWIW, I'd like to recommend "The Professor and the Madman" too. It's an absolutely fascinating story.

I recommend against "Origin of Species." Had to read that in college and thought I was going to die!

Hmm.. this may be the first month that the book I voted for doesn't win.
I quite find I don't like that. BOb |

And if the book I voted on had won, it would only have cost between free and $1. But now because it didn't win, we'll have to shell out between $8-$9.
So there is still time people to vote for the really inexpensive entry #1. |

But really though, you don't have to read what comes up. We can have extra discussions in the MRBC group. Since I've already read the one that is winning, I'll probably read another selection from the nominees (or more). |

And the official winner is... The Professor and the Madman: A Tale of Murder, Insanity, and the Making of the Oxford English Dictionary.
Now go and purchase a copy and get to reading. |

I hope everyone enjoys it, I know I did. It's an excellent book.
In the spirit of things, I'll read another one of his books that has been languishing on my shelf for years. And maybe another from the nominees, which I haven't decided on yet. |
