That did the trick.

If you love the more bolder fonts, then Bookerly without adjustment is too light.

There's a firmware patch called "Freedom to advanced fonts control" that allows the boldness of side-loaded fonts to be adjusted in the same manner as the built-in Kobo fonts.

Before I discovered this patch I found both Bookerly and Literata to be far too light for my taste, and instead preferred Caecilia and Amasis.

Is it possible to add custom fonts on the Kindle and Kobo Android apps?

My favourite font is definitely Amazon Ember. The boldness is perfect and the font is easier on the eyes (in my opinion)

I voted Amasis because it looks beautiful though it goes worst when zoomed in.

My answer is none of them. I much prefer ChareInk6SP then any of the per-installed fonts for reading.

LexiaDama has been my absolute favorite for several years, for some reason it suits me perfectly. The second is ChareInk6 and the third DejaVu Serif Eink. I'ne never used the pre-installed fonts on my Kobos, though some of them aren't bad.

somewhat confused by the poll. It asks for favorite preinstalled font but many of them listed are not preinstalled on my new Libra Colour?

For instance, Georgia is the front runner but it is not an option on my device.

I never bothered with the poll since the fonts I use when reading are not Kobo default fonts and there was no None of the Above choice.
