311-Why don't Amazon tell us?
Following my 3G connection problem recently I thought I would share a fix I found on the net. Not claiming it to be unique but it seems odd that of the EIGHT agents I asked for help from Amazon not one of them mentioned this.
I can only describe the way to access this on the kindle keyboard as this is the one I have so you will have to adapt accordingly. Go to home page>press menu >settings> alt+E>alt+Q>alt+Q. (or Sym>3>1>1). This opens a window which asks if you want to scan for local wifi signals. It does take a minute or so, so don't panic thinking it's frozen. You are presented with a list of 3G and 2G suppliers or the top one is an automatic search which I assume is the default. Didn't work for my situation but I think it could be very handy. |
