Heinlein's _The Moon is a Harsh Mistress_ is $2.99 at Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/Moon-Harsh-Mi.../dp/B07CWGBZ4R A quaint/vintage look at A.I./computer self-awareness, it's a classic story, which arguably can still speak to current political situations. |

A classic and the AI is really not important, a maguffin really. One of his really good ones.

This novel comes after her success with the Daevabad trilogy (starting with City of Brass), which were mentioned in these forums in the past, as they were on sale. And Amina is up for several awards this year. |

We've had that one for a while - at least since the Dublin Worldcon. I've read it, and to be honest I thought it weak, so I've not read the others (which himself got as they appeared in monthly deals). I've read Amina Al-Sirafy, and preferred that (but still don't think it a brilliant novel even though it's on the Hugo shortlist). |

You're welcome.
I'd be interested to know what you think of it when you finish, and how you think it compares to Amina Al-Sirafy. Incidentally, I came across this title when I was poking around on Kobo - https://www.kobo.com/gb/en/ebook/acc...hina-and-india - so I guess that's where the inspiration for that one comes from.
