Is it possible to remove the 'new' tag?
When I transfer new books to the Kindle, the Kindle shows always a 'New' tag in front of the book title. Only after opening the book, the new tag go's away.

Is it possible to disable this feature, so that the new tag never shows up?

If you set the file timestamp to something older than the newest book already on your Kindle and preserve file timestamps when you transfer, then new tag will not show up. Or you can change the timestamp to something older after it is on the Kindle.

Changed the timestamp after transfer and the 'new' tag didn't show.

Is changing the timestamp really quicker (or easier) than just opening the book and closing it?
