Where are my txt and html transfer?
Someone please explain:
1- I transferred through the USB cable , from my computer about 500 mbytes of txt and html files to my Kindle DX and and I don´t see any sign of them, nor can I access them. 2-from where and how do I access the material I mentioned above The only thing I see on my content page is a "User´s Guide" and a Dictionary. |

The files must be put into the documents folder on the Kindle to appear on the content page. Also, there must be no DRM on the transferred files.

Also, if you have the older firmware, you might need to change "Show and Sort" on the Home Page to show all documents (to include personal documents).

Good point - I keep forgetting about that option - it can "accidentally" hide your content from appearing on the Home Page.

The TXT files should be OK if transferred to the Documents folder, however the Kindle doesn't do HTML without conversion (using Calibre, Mobi Creator, Personal Document Svc, etc.).
Here's the info on formats from Amazon... Quote:

Some people have reported that HTML looks fine on the Kindle if you change the file extension to .txt, for some reason.

Yes. It's weird that you have to change the extension, but it works, and retains formatting.
