Changing shade of grey

I keep reading that the PRS-600 has three different shades of grey for displaying e-book text. However, I can't figure out how to change it. How do I adjust the shade of grey used for reading?

Thanks.

You cannot change it. The e-Ink screens on the 600 and 900 use 16 levels of gray to display books, but there is no way to adjust the contrast or brightness. The best you can do is modify books to have bolder text or a different font, but those are not easy tasks.

This is true. Depending on the file type your book is, you might be able to adjust the font relatively easily. For instance, if your book is rich text format, you can open it with any word processor and change the font or bold it. Other than simple file types like that, it'll take a few steps.
