That's why we have the ISO format.
How many newspapers use ISO date in their dateline. The only ones I'm familiar with are Chinese language publications; e.g the Peoples Daily (e.g. 2023年08月16日00:37), the English language edition (Xinhua) uses Month (in full), Day, Year (e.g. 16:14, August 15, 2023).
